This trip to Mexico taught me an incredible amount about life - loss, the everyday struggle, love for family, and humbleness. I lost both of my grandparents back to back this summer and without much explanation other than the fact that they were old of age. I never felt something like this, the confusion, sadness and discomfort of not having anymore grandparents to share with me wisdom of the world and its experiences.
I know my grandpa enjoyed the photographs I would take, the smile he would show when I shared with him what I saw through my lens.
